Guest Chefling- Sour Cream Delight – my first dessert
Cooking and me? A big NAY. But then I got married!
So this other day I (literally) made the first dessert of my life and you’d not believe how amazingly delicious it turned out. I was somewhere on the seventh sky because the least I expected in life was that someone would praise me for my culinary skills. My husband and in-laws loved it to bits and here I am sharing my first success with all of you!
Okay now that I am done with the narcissist talk – let’s get on to the recipe of this yummy dessert called “Sour Cream Delight”
Recipe: Sour Cream Delight
Ingredients
- Candy Biscuits: 1.5 party packs
- Butter: 60 grams (4-5 tablespoons)
- Fruit Cocktail: 1 tin
- Condensed Milk: 4 tablespoons
- Cream: 1 packet
- Yogurt: 300 grams
- Walnuts: For garnishing (optional)
Instructions
- Take a blender; add in candy biscuits to make their crumbs.
- Take butter in a separate bowl and heat it for 15 seconds.
- Mix together the above two in a separate serving dish.
- Make a nice thick base of candy crumbs and butter in the serving dish by using folk/flat spoon.
- Keep the base in fridge for good 30 minutes – let it set down.
- Meanwhile, take another bowl and thoroughly mix cream and yogurt in it.
- Also add condensed milk and fruit cocktail (don’t add the juice – only fruits). A little more mixing please!
- Now take out the dish from fridge and add the above mixture containing yogurt, cream, condensed milk and fruit cocktail.
- Garnish walnuts and serve it chilled!
