Mothers always put in so much effort when cooking for us. They stress over weekly menus and on a daily basis ask us: “Aj khanay main kya banaon? (What should I cook for you today?)”
So it’d be nice to take her out for a change, and give her a break from planning the day’s meals. Here are 3 places that are a great choice for dining with your mother in Lahore this Mother’s Day:
Cosa Nostra
Cosa Nostra is one of Lahore’s finest eateries, and I can personally testify that fact. Located on 23-A, H Block, Gulberg 2 Lahore, Cosa has introduced a new section dedicated to sweets called La Tavola (so no worries about that cake situation). They also offer one of the best ice creams in the city.

Cosa has a beautiful, elegant environment and a with a great menu to choose from. Serving times here are relatively brisk compared to other eateries in the vicinity. (And in case you forgot to buy mo a present before dinner, there’s a market close by for you to dash to)
Café Zouk
Located on MM Alam Road, a place all foodies in the city are familiar with, Cafe Zouk is famous for its Thai and continental cuisine. Over the years, Zouk has maintained its excellent taste, and happens to be one of my mother’s personal favorites.

It’s peaceful environment and light music make for a perfect place to celebrate a day dedicated to your lovely mother. A personal suggestion would be to try the Half-Grilled Chicken (with Skin) with Buffalo Sauce and Mashed Potatoes (It’s divine)
Cuckoo’s Den
If your mother loves desi food then this is the place to take her. Being a rooftop restaurant, Cuckoo’s Den offers a beautiful view of this historic city, and is located right across from the famous Badshahi Mosque. You can spend hours enjoying the beauty of this place as you can see the Walled City of Lahore in all its night-time glory. You can also take a stroll around the Food Street nearby and admire the art and handicrafts on displays (if your mom is into those things).
The quality of food at Cuckoo’s is extremely good, and you won’t have to wait long for your order.

You may have trouble finding parking if you plan on coming here late at night, so keep that in mind. Chances are you also won’t find a table after 11 pm. With affordable rates, beautiful views of the city and good quality food, this place is a must-visit for a Lahori and his mom.
I hope this list helps you decide on how to make your mom feel special; she deserves it! Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
