I’m the sort of person that remembers important dates, and birthdays happen to be the most exciting part of the year for me. Now when you’re planning a birthday you have to keep a million things in your mind, the food, the décor there is a whole list of things that you need to cover and it just seems endless. Having lived in Peshawar for quite some time now, I have had to arrange birthdays for friends and family at many different places in the city but there are 3 that are my absolute favorites and let me tell you why (In no particular order):
1-Celeste
This place hands down has the best interior and ambience in all of Peshawar (indoors and outdoors both).Wooden beams and beautiful fireplaces; what more could you ask for? The interior itself just makes it worth the try. With the most extensive menu offered in town, they offer seven cuisines yes…seven!! These include Japanese and Thai cuisine as well, and of course they have a wide range of choices from desi food as well.
When it comes to hosting birthdays, Celeste can accommodate a gathering of 150+ people. All you need to do is guide the staff beforehand and they will handle everything for you. I chose this place for my dad’s birthday and I was not disappointed. So next time you want to throw a “shashke wali” birthday, this is THE place for it in Peshawar.
P.s: It has an amazing cocktail bar as well
2. Café Crunch & Bake Shop:
Their perfect themed cakes is what separates café crunch from all other places in Peshawar. They have the best bakery in town. Not only are their cakes beautiful to look at, they taste the yummiest as well. The food is pretty good and they offer the widest range of desserts in Peshawar (their strawberry tarts are to die for). They are particularly famous for their themed birthdays. You just have to give the staff a few pointers, and they transform the place according to your requirements. This place is particularly great for a kid’s birthday. Kids love the themed décors and the vibe of café crunch.
3. Central Perk Café- Where friends meet:
Now, for those of us who have been a fan of “Friends” this place is a dream come true. Remember the hangout place for friends? Central perk café, yup this place is themed exactly like that. When you enter it, it feels like you have jumped inside the season itself and at any moment you will find Joey or Chandler or Pheobe walking in and sitting at their favorite couch. They have amazing food at very cheap prices. If good coffee and a great environment are at the top of your priority list then this is definitely the place for you. I personally think that the place has the best vibe for a friend’s birthday. It can accommodate a small gathering of people, and the staff is very helpful when it comes to the décor and other arrangements.
